About Us
Personal Touch
As a family-owned business, we're all about giving you that personal touch you won't find at those big box stores. We're here to be more than just a nursery – we're part of the community. We'll listen to your needs and work with you every step of the way. Before you commit to anything, we'll take the time to create a real-life mock-up from a selection of beloved classics and North Carolina native plants right here at the nursery. By laying out the trees and shrubs exactly as they would be planted at your home, you'll see exactly how everything will look and feel. And if something doesn't quite fit or you change your mind about a plant, we can easily adjust things until it's just right. Give us a call and turn your outdoor space into something special.
Creative Solutions
At Late Bloomers Nursery and Landscaping, we're passionate about witnessing the incredible transformation of outdoor spaces. There's something truly special about taking a neglected or overgrown area and turning it into a beautiful oasis for relaxation. Or installing landscaping lights to create a magical ambiance for evening enjoyment. Whether it's brightening up shady corners or tackling soggy spots, we thrive on finding creative solutions to bring your vision to life. Let's team up and design a garden oasis you'll love hanging out in.
Reliable Service
There's nothing worse than reaching out to a contractor and getting no response or being completely ghosted. At Late Bloomers, we prioritize reliability and communication. As one of the most trusted landscaping and hardscaping companies in the Charlotte area, we pride ourselves on our prompt responses and transparency about project timelines. When you choose us, you know that your project will be handled with professionalism and care from start to finish.
Our Story
We're the "Late Bloomers" because we realized late in life that doing what you love truly makes work feel like play. Our family-owned business started with Ted Reid, the patriarch and original green thumb in the family. He began propagating Leyland Cypress trees as a hobby years ago, but his love for plants grew into something much bigger. Now, we're continuing his legacy, expanding our offerings, and aiming to be your go-to nursery and landscaping team in Gaston County. And when you visit, don't be surprised if our furry friends, Wolfie and Ruby, come trotting up to say hello. They're part of the family too!
